FAQs

  • How far do you travel?

I film weddings all over the UK and abroad. All packages include travel expenses up to 80 miles from our studio in Wellingborough. For distances greater than this I charge a 40p per mile fee for the return journey. For commissions beyond a 2hr drive from our studio, I normally ask for accommodation to be provided for the night of the wedding and the night prior to the wedding.

For destination weddings please get in touch for a bespoke travel cost.

  • Can I choose why own music?

Normally I look through the music in my database and choose the songs I thing fit your day well. I cannot use popular music in my films because of copyright law. This applies to all my films and is the same with all professional videographers, it’s purely a legal thing.

Because I use audio from your ceremony and speeches throughout the film, music with words tends to clash with this type of edit, hence why it works so much better to use instrumental songs

I choose the music for the films I edit through a website called Soundstripe, I have a membership which gives me access to license that music and use it legally. So if you wish to do so, by all means you can have a look through what that website has to offer and choose your music yourselves (but I have to warn you, there is a LOT to look through).

  • How does hiring a drone work?

What I do is I outsource the drone operating to a professional drone pilot and pay them to capture some nice overhead shots. Flying a drone takes a lot of time, and I prefer to use that time on the ground filming guests and whatever is happening at the wedding. I charge £500 for the drone add-on. However, if you would like to arrange someone yourself who could do it for cheaper or for free, I am happy to integrate that footage into your film at no extra cost. I often get couples who have their guests bring a drone and then send me the footage afterwards, which I put into their film. You can decide on having the drone add-on later on, but preferably at least 5 months before the wedding day, so that I can organise it on my end.
